Kevin M. Bell
Mr. Kevin M. Bell is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Commerce Capital Partners, LLC, which he founded in January 2007. Mr. Bell has real estate holdings in Texas, Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Tennessee, New Hampshire, and North Carolina.
Mr. Bell has over twenty-five years of real estate experience in areas of operations, finance and construction, including strategic planning, administration, capital management, dispositions and acquisitions strategies. He brings with him a deep network of real estate brokerage, finance and management professionals across the United States as well as a proven ability to recruit, motivate, train and mentor staff to achieve above market results. Mr. Bell has participated in over $2 billion of real estate transactions and currently holds ownership positions in 16,000+ apartment homes and 3.5 million square feet of commercial real estate.
Mr. Bell was most recently a principal of and Executive Vice President for Northland Investment Corporation. Since the founding of Northland’s predecessor, Essex Partners, he had been directly responsible for building the company’s property management, asset management, and risk management functions. Mr. Bell oversaw Northland’s asset management function, which underpinned its value creation initiatives, including rehabilitations, repositions and dispositions. From 1991 through 1999, Mr. Bell was based in Houston, Texas, overseeing Northland’s national multifamily management operations as well as asset management responsibilities. During this period, the company added over 6,000 apartment homes to its portfolio. In 1999, he relocated to Boston and assumed responsibility for company-wide operations including commercial asset management, operations and leasing. Northland Investment Corporation owns sixty properties, aggregating twenty million square feet. This $1.4 billion-dollar portfolio includes over twelve thousand multifamily apartment homes, downtown and suburban office buildings, shopping centers, hotel, R&D properties, industrial facilities, and parking garages.
Prior to Northland Investment Corporation and Essex Partners, Mr. Bell was a Senior Vice President at MB Associates, where he had responsibility for asset management of the company’s West Region totaling $75,000,000 in multifamily properties located in Seattle, Portland, Denver, and Phoenix. He also acted in the capacity of acquisitions professional in a series of transactions in these markets. Prior to joining MB Associates, Mr. Bell was an Assistant Vice President of Acquisitions for Congress Realty Group performing acquisition, modeling, and due diligence duties in Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania as well as condominium conversions in Massachusetts.
Mr. Bell, age 48, received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from Widener University in Pennsylvania. Mr. Bell holds a Real Estate Broker’s License in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. Mr. Bell has successfully Acquired and Operated Multifamily Assets in:
